Genetic Variants Associated With Different Risks for High Tension Glaucoma and Normal Tension Glaucoma in a Chinese Population

Abstract

Genetic variants in CDKN2B-AS1, SIX1/SIX6, and TMCO1 were associated with POAG in a Han Chinese population. Genes CDKN2B-AS1 and SIX1/SIX6 seem to harbor a tendency toward POAG with lower IOP, while carriers of risk alleles at TMCO1 seem to be predisposed to developing POAG with higher IOP.
