Abstract

These findings demonstrate that recipient inflammation with poly(I:C) significantly enhances humoral immunization to transfused alloantigens in a murine model. Moreover, these data suggest that the inflammatory status of human transfusion recipients may regulate the immunogenicity of transfused RBCs.
