In order to alleviate the growing energy contradiction and maximize use of renewable energy, microgrid is experiencing a rapid development as a new means of power system. The master inverter in microgrid should operate in grid-connected mode and island mode. A seamless transferring control method was presented in this paper, two different control loops were designed for respective operation modes, and the detailed design steps and the improved control method for smooth transition were discussed. A novel phase-locked loop control method applied in microgrid is also proposed, which can ensure the seamless transferring process. Finally, a dedicated microgrid test-bed were built to evaluate the seamless transferring control method, the experimental results in various microgrid operation modes were depicted to demonstrate the correctness of theoretical analysis and the feasibility of the microgrid control strategy.
