Standing-Spin-Wave Modulation of the Reflected Microwave Power in YIG

Abstract

Low-frequency oscillations which occur above the threshold for spin-wave instability are examined in detail. The frequency of these coherent oscillations is found to vary with the applied dc magnetic field. A simple theory based on the assumption of standing spin waves is given and it is shown that this assumption can explain well the experimental observations.
