The hydroformylation of higher olefins was studied in the presence of fluorous-soluble triphenylphosphite derivatives-modified rhodium catalyst at 80 °C and 40 bar of CO/H 2 (1:1) in an olefin/C 8 F 17 H mixture solvent that forms a homogeneous liquid phase at high temperature. Activities up to 10 000 h –1 and normal to branched aldehyde ratio (n/i) up to 5.8 were obtained. The possibility to recover the catalytic system was also investigated from consecutive recycling experiments.
