Abstract

Three-port parameters of radially polarized piezoelectric ceramic cylinders of arbitrary length-to-radius ratio are presented. The three-port impedance matrix is first obtained by using two-dimensional electroelastic equations of state and the membrane approximation. It is then used to obtain an equivalent circuit. Admittance and A matrices are also derived. The matrices are then used to determine the input electrical admittance and the acceleration sensitivity for various boundary conditions to illustrate some of their uses.
