Five hundred forty-seven lines of intergeneric hybrids of Thinopyrum, Secale, and Triticum were evaluated for resistance to the Russian wheat aphid, Diuraphis noxia (Mordvilko). Quantitative damage ratings based on the amount of leaf rolling and chlorosis indicated that 23 of the lines had varying levels of resistance to the aphid. Additional tests of seven of those resistant lines revealed antibiosis and tolerance as the modes of resistance.
