Some oriental Scolytidae and Platypodidae (Coleoptera)

Abstract

The following notes and descriptions of previously unknown species are based on several collections that have recently come to me for identification. Some of the records from Thailand are of particular interest, illustrating the wide range of the Scolytid fauna that exists in this country; they include elements of the Malaysian, the Himalayan and the Palaearctic faunas.
