Abstract

Reported here are the clinical course of a 21-yr-old woman with congenital hypoparathyroidism, who had received minimal treatment with vitamin D, and that of her firstborn infant. Because of abnormalities found on roentgenograms of the newborn's long bones, it is postulated that the infant had hyperparathyroidism during intrauterine life secondary to the mother's hypoparathyroidism.
