Aperture coupled microstrip antenna for dual frequency operation

Abstract

An original analysis is presented of an aperture coupled microstrip antenna exhibiting parallel slots on the patch in order to obtain dual frequency operation. The theory is based on the cavity model and the input impedance is calculated using the theorem of energy conservation; the theoretical results are compared with measurements.
