MicroGrid (MG) is connected to the primary distribution network and usually operates in normal connecting mode. When a severe fault occurs in the primary distribution network, then the MG will transfer to islanding mode. In this paper, fuzzy logic controller is adopted to stabilize the dynamic behaviour of MG in islanded mode. In forced islanding condition, fuzzy controller retains the nominal voltage and frequency through feedback control. This work handles single source (microturbine) connected to the grid. This satisfies the unbalancing between generation and load to maintain the stable operation of MG. The controllable voltage magnitude, frequency, active and reactive power results are obtained with acceptable accuracy and the comparison result is made between PI and Fuzzy Logic controller. This developed model is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment.
