Asymmetric <i>Diels</i>‐<i>Alder</i> reactions: X‐Ray crystal‐structure analysis of [<i>N</i>‐((<i>E</i>)‐But‐2‐enoyl)bornane‐10,2‐sultam]tetrachlorotitanium

Abstract An X‐ray diffraction analysis of the crystalline complex 2b (ML n  TiCl 4 ) shows a chelation of the carbonyl O‐atom and the upper SO 2 O‐atom by TiCl 4 , a slightly pyramidal N‐atom, and a π ‐face‐stereoselective shielding of the C(α)‐ Si face by the CH 2 (3) group. The Ti‐atom is in a pseudo‐octahedral environment.
