Mesenteric lengthening in ileoanal pouch anastomosis for ulcerative colitis

Abstract

On the whole, morbidity and functional outcome appear similar. This suggests that high superior mesenteric pedicle division has no adverse effect and can be proposed routinely as an effective lengthening technique.
