Amazingly stable: The bis(guanidine) ligand N1,N3-bis[bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)methylen]propan-1,3-diamine stabilizes the first bis(μ-oxo)dicopper(III) complex (see figure) at room temperature. This complex is characterized in the ground state and in the optical excited state by a combination of EXAFS and resonance Raman spectroscopy.
