The velocity spectra and cross sections for the reactions of Ar+ and of N2+ with HD have been measured at different kinetic energies of the incident ions. The bands of the secondary ions ArH+, ArD+, N2H+, and N2D+ appear at the positions in the velocity spectra predicted by the stripping model. The cross sections for H- and D-atom transfer are half as large as for the corresponding reactions with H2 and D2, respectively. The intensity ratio XH+/XD+ strongly increases at high energies as is expected from the stripping model.
