Abstract Right coronary artery occlusion by a thrombus occurred during the coronary angiography performed in a patient with anterior myocardial infarction. Emergency coronary aspiration was undertaken via a 9F guiding catheter, which allowed the thrombus to be removed. The patient, who was in cardiogenic shock, immediately improved and was subsequently discharged without any complications or sequelae.
