Impaction of insecticide particles on Choristoneura occidentalis Freeman larvae and Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.) Franco foliage was investigated in the field. Some 87% of the particles observed on Douglas-fir foliage were equal or less than 10 µm diam and 87% of the particles observed on the western spruce budworm larvae were equal to or less than 15 µm diam.
