Abstract

Febuxostat was effective for high-risk cardiac surgery patients with hyperuricemia because it reduced UA more markedly than allopurinol. Febuxostat also had a renoprotective effect, inhibited oxidative stress, showed anti-atherogenic activity, reduced blood pressure, and decreased PWV and LVMI.
