Abstract

Coordinated against cancer: We synthesized the structural isomers of two tetrazolato-bridged dinuclear PtII complexes: [{cis-Pt(NH3)2}2(μ-OH)(μ-tetrazolato-N1,N2)](ClO4)2 and [{cis-Pt(NH3)2}2(μ-OH)(μ-tetrazolato-N2,N3)](ClO4)2. The in vivo antitumor activity of the latter was evaluated on xenograft tumors of H460 NSCLC and PANC-1 pancreatic cancer. The complex shows high efficacy against pancreatic cancer and inhibits tumor growth by 99 % relative to untreated control.
