Plasma histamine levels were determined before and five minutes after intravenous injection of meglumine iothalamate 60% (Conray) in 57 randomly selected patients who underwent intravenous urography. Eighteen of the patients (32%) experienced a reaction to the injection beyond a sensation of warmth
