Organolanthanoid—Carbene‐Adducts

Abstract

Its not a classical carbene complex even if the C2 atom of the heterocycle in 1 (R  Me, iPr) is sp2 configurated and the bond lengths in the carbene ligand alternate, because the YbC bond length corresponds to that of an extended single bond. Nevertheless, 1 opens the way to a class of substances for f-block elements that has great significance in the d-block elements.
