Mariner 6 and 7 Ultraviolet Spectrometer Experiment: Upper atmosphere data

Abstract

Mariner 6 and 7 observations of the Mars upper atmosphere show the ultraviolet emission spectrum to consist of the CQ, A-X and B-X bands, the CO a -X and 4-9 0 A-X bands, the CO B-X bands, the @I 156'1 and 1657 A 0 lines, the 01 1 3 0 4 , 1356, and 2972 A lines, and the HI P216 A line.
