Abstract

Abstract Ester derivatives of p-tert-butylcalix[6]arene exhibited unique molecular recognition properties toward butylamines. Binding selectivity of hexaethyl ester, assessed by the extraction of butylammonium picrates, was found to be superior to dibenzo-18-crown-6 ether.
