The Heilbronn Laparoscopic Training Program for Laparoscopic Suturing: Concept and Validation

Abstract

Our program enabled participants not experienced in laparoscopy to increase reproducible performance in reconstructive laparoscopy. These results indicate that the challenging parts of reconstructive laparoscopy such as intracorporeal suturing can be taught using a standardized concept. This experience could be incorporated easily by every department developing a laparoscopic training program.
