ABSTRACT The clinical and radiographic signs of torsion of the splenic pedicle in three German Shepherd dogs are described. Massive, uniform splenomegaly with distinct outlines was a characteristic finding at radiography. In two cases density of the spleen was greatly increased whilst in the third, in addition to the splenomegaly, there was an associated folding and displacement of the body and pylorus of the stomach.
