Manganous ion-dependent incorporation of adenosine-5'-phosphate into ribonucleic acid by an enzyme from rat liver.

Abstract

In the presence of Mn 2+ and ribosomal RNA a rat-liver enzyme incorporated AMP into polyadenylate chains attached to the primer. Synthetic polynucleotides also primed AMP incorporation, and the incorporation into polyuridylate was stimulated by polyadenylate.
