AbstractBoth clomipramine and fluvoxamine have been effective in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder. This paper presents a systematic comparison between these two drugs in 23 patients meeting DSM-III criteria of OCD. The results showed that both drugs were equally effective at the end of 12 weeks treatment. However, differential patterns of side effects and dose adjustments were observed and are briefly discussed.
