Fluctuating Flow of an Elastico-Viscous Fluid Past a Porous Flat Plate

Abstract

Stuart's solution for the incompressible viscous fluctuating flow over an infinite flat plate, with suction, is extended for an idealized elastico-viscous liquid. The effect of the presence of the elasticity of the fluid on the velocity field and the skin-friction is examined.
