He is author of Dividing Lines: The Politics of Immigration Control in America, various articles on the American presidency, social movements, and public policy, and aforthcomingbook,A Question of Representational Bias: Organized Interests and the American State. RICHARD A. HARRIS is professor of political science and director of the Walter Rand Institute of Public Affairs at Rutgers University, Camden. His books include Coal Firms Under New Regulation, Remaking American Politics, and The Politics of Regulatory Change: A Tale of Two Agencies, and a forthcoming work, A Question of Representational Bias: Organized Interests and the American State.
