Abstract

The operation of a free-space aberration corrected concave grating demultiplexer for applications in densely-spaced wavelength routed networks at 1.5 µm is described. Near-diffraction-limited performance in the wavelength range of 24 nm (over 60 channels) with channel spacing of 0.4 nm is reported for the first time.
