Supramolecular Assemblies Based on Cucurbituril Adducts of Hydrogen-Bonded Molybdenum and Tungsten Incomplete Cuboidal Aqua Complexes

Abstract

Six cis coordinated H2O molecules of the triangular cluster complexes M3(μ3-S)((μ2-S)3(H2O)9]4+ (M = Mo, W) (hydrogen bond donors) complementary to six portal oxygen atoms of cucurbituril (acceptors). The shape and symmetry of the building blocks induce specific crystal structures.
