We study the aberrations of massive mirrors heated by partial of intense laser beams in the coating or in the bulk. The non-uniform temperature field generated in the solid substrate induce thermoelastic deformations for which with the special assumption of axial symmetry, we give analytical models and numerical evaluations, first in the steady state, then in the transient regime.
