The Story of Shipyard Eye

Abstract

The title of this lecture sounds rather mysterious, suggesting the adventures of a one-eyed pirate who sabotages shipyards. In fact, this account does have much in common with a detective story: it is replete with mystery, mistaken identity, a missing phial of poison, and the final denouement in which the hero of the beginning of the story turns out tG be the villain.
