T received little attention, and knowledge concerning them is exceedingly scant. One of us (A.P.S.) is engaged in a comprehnsive study of them, and the present paper deals with what information we could obtain from the files of the Laboratory of Surgical Pathology of Columbia University, New York, N.Y., and from published reports concerning synovial sarcomas in children. It is desirable to do this because children differ from adults in many ways, and one can feel no assurance that tumors with comparable histological. structure will behave in the same way in children as they do in adults.
