The magnetization of Tb <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">x</inf> Co <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">1-x</inf> amorphous alloy films for x = 0.15 to 0.32 show less deviation from saturated conditions than corresponding Tb-Fe films. The Faraday rotation is found to be due mainly to the Co magnetic subsystem and not to the Tb. This rotation of the Co is much larger than can be attributed to the Hall angle alone.
