Radiological appearance of pneumoconiosis is described in a young British person whose only known occupational exposure was to a concentrate of rare earths. Pulmonary functions were found to be unimpaired. Perusal of world literature on the subject has brought to notice two other reports from outside the UK of pneumoconiosis due to cerium exposure.
