Abstract

These results demonstrate that 2 hrs of exposure of newborn lambs to venoarterial ECMO leads to a decrease in basal production of nitric oxide in cerebral arteries, and suggest that venoarterial ECMO selectively impairs cerebral arterial endothelial function.
