COMAR after 25 years: still a challenge

Abstract

This abbreviated history of COMAR is presented not only for the interest of the reader but to communicate to a new generation of participants and supporters of COMAR today's challenges—which, in fact, are deeply rooted in the history of COMAR and continue with no end in sight. Not all highlights will be described in depth and only the most important over-arching issues are singled out for treatment. The lessons learned since 1972, sometimes painfully, should help in guiding COMAR to a fruitful future in its new home, the EMB-S.
