Endoscopic morphological anticipation of submucosal invasion in flat and depressed colorectal lesions: clinical implications and subtype analysis of the kudo type V pit pattern using high‐magnification‐chromoscopic colonoscopy

Abstract

The type V pit pattern is useful for the in vivo staging of submucosal invasive depth in flat and depressed colorectal lesions and is as sensitive as conventional 7.5 MHz EUS. There was a tendency to over-stage lesions and hence the technique is limited by its low overall specificity.
