Iliacus compartment compression syndrome

Abstract

Abstract Two cases of femoral nerve compression are described. In the first a large haematoma developed in the iliacus compartment whilst the patient was on anticoagulant therapy. In the second, compression was due to an appendix abscess within the iliacus compartment. This complication of appendicitis has not previously been recorded.
