Phoretic and parasitic mites of 26 families were found on 68 species of trogid beetles (Coleoptera: Trogidae) from around the world, but mainly North America. Among the adult trogid beetles examined, 952, or 27.73%, harbored mites. Up to 292 mites occurred per beetle. Macrocheles spp., Uroseius (Apionoseius) spp., pygmephorid, acarid, euglycyphagid, and histiostomatid mites were most frequently found. A list of trogid species and their associated mite species is presented.
