Measurements of the drift velocity and lateral diffusion of electrons in oxygen containing traces of hydrogen are reported for values of E/N up to 20 × 10 −17 V cm 2 . Complications due to the production of negative oxygen ions were removed through an associative detachment process by the addition of the hydrogen. By comparison with other available data for pure oxygen, it appears that relatively large concentrations (similar 10%) of hydrogen can be added without producing significant changes in the transport coefficients at a given E/N over the range of E/N studied.
