Abstract A study was made of two biosequences composed of Brunizem and Gray Brown Podzolic soils and their forested intergrades to determine some of the properties of the intergrades and their relationship to recognized great soil groups. The morphology of the intergrade soils is intermediate to that of the associated Brunizems and Gray Brown Podzolic soils. Laboratory data indicate that, genetically, the intergrade soils are related more closely to the Gray Brown Podzolic soils than to the Brunizems.
