Variations in the Mechanisms of Direct Metallation of Cyclic and Acyclic Aminals

Abstract

Different regioselectivity is observed for the lithiation reactions of open-chain and ring-type aminals; the reasons for this are attributed to the restriction of movements of groups by the ring structures.
