Abstract

The familial occurrence of Crohn’s disease in yet another family where 6 members were affected, is reported. A pedigree analysis suggests the significance of genetic factors in the etiology of the disease. An arbitrary mode of inheritance is suggested. The need for prospective studies on a co-operative basis to establish a precise mode of inheritance is emphasized.
