By extending the previous theory, a general discussion is given on the isotope effect in critical temperature Tc of order-disorder transition in hydrogen bonded crystals. It is shown that the isotope effect in Tc appears through two different routes: isotopic dependence of hydrogen bond length and tunneling motion.
