Personality Factors as Determinants of Depression in Postpartum Women: A Prospective 1-Year Follow-up Study

Abstract

Personality may be an important and stable determinant of postpartum depression. The combination of high neuroticism and high introversion considerably improved the risk estimates for clinical depression across the first year postpartum.
