Polyhydroxyamino Compounds via Diene Synthesis with Nitroso Compounds, XI. – Determination of the Configuration of (1 R ,4 S )‐2‐Oxa‐3‐azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct‐5‐ene The (1 R ,4 S ) configuration was determined for the title compound 1 by its degradation to the L ‐glutamic acid derivative 6 .
