An experimental investigation of the polarization reversal process in Rochelle salt shows that besides the slow, lateral motion of $b$- and $c$-domain walls, there is also a fast reversal process characteristic of the nucleation and wall propagation in the orthorhombic $a$-direction. Reversal in this direction is qualitatively analogous to the polarization process in $c$-domain BaTi${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$.
