Abstract The adhesive behaviour of polychloroprene rubber (CR)‐castor oil based polyurethane (CPU) semi‐interpenetrating network (SIPN) was studied by peel strength and shear strength. The order of peel and shear strength is leather‐leather>leather‐rubber>rubber‐rubber. Effects of solvents and acids on the bonded assembly were tested.
